BBA Aviation’s Global Engine Services Companies Welcome Hugh McElroy as President and COO

McElroy returns to provide strategic direction toward continued organizational success

Dallas, TX – BBA Aviation’s Global Engine Services companies announced today that Hugh McElroy, a veteran of the Dallas Airmotive and BBA Aviation leadership team, has returned to lead the GES businesses as President and Chief Operating Officer. McElroy will lead the GES companies by providing strategic direction that focuses on the continuous growth of the business and goal to fulfill customer and OEM expectations.

“I’m confident that Hugh will lead the GES businesses to further achievement of success by building on the positive performance demonstrated by the business during the past two years,” Mark Johnstone, CEO of BBA Aviation said.

Additionally, Johnstone commended McElroy for his extensive knowledge of the engine repair and overhaul business, respected reputation in the industry and value of the organization’s people and customers, alike. McElroy rejoins the team after three years spent as CEO of Dallas Lighthouse for the Blind, a manufacturing and services non-profit organization. McElroy has over 40 years of aviation and aerospace manufacturing and services experience, 16 of which were within BBA Aviation.
