TFE731 ENGINE MAINTENANCE ALERT:

Feb 5, 2019, 16:19 PM by Kalyn Kvapil
Select TFE731 Engines Eligible for Discounted Turbine Rotor Replacement

We know there’s nothing worse than your aircraft getting off-schedule with maintenance or flight plans- so the time it takes to do any necessary repairs is crucial to stay on target. We also care about staying on-budget with any maintenance event you may have- which is why we really need to address a recent FAA Airworthiness Directive (A.D. 2012-17-05) for TFE731 engines.

On August 28, 2012, the FAA released an A.D. regarding the Honeywell TFE731-4 and TFE731-5 series turbofan engines. The A.D. requires replacing affected LPT1 rotor assemblies to prevent uncontained disk separation, engine failure, and damage to the airplane. Compliance with the A.D. is mandatory eight years after the effective date, meaning all rotor assemblies must be replaced by August, 2020. With a large volume of operators needing to comply with this AD, there could be limited parts availability that may lead to maintenance delays for TFE731-4/-5 operators approaching the 2020 deadline.

Our team at Dallas Airmotive, wants to make sure your scheduled maintenance is a breeze and that your engine spends limited time with us at the shop. It is our goal that your engine doesn’t get held up due to parts availability. To ensure your quick-turn MPI & CZI, we are offering a discounted repair to customers who schedule maintenance by August 30th, 2019. Contact Dallas Airmotive to learn how your engine may qualify for special discounted pricing on the replacement turbine rotor.
