Renewed Focus on the Customer Experience to Drive Organizational Efforts

NBAA – Orlando, FL –
Dallas Airmotive and H+S Aviation, BBA Aviation Global Engine Services (GES) companies, announce the recent appointment of Mark Johnstone as President & Chief Operating Officer of Global Engine Services. Mark joined BBA Aviation in 2008 as Group Corporate Development Director and has served as the Chief Financial Officer of Signature Flight Support, Managing Director of APPH, as well as Managing Director of Flight Support EMEA prior to his appointment.

Mark JohnstoneJohnstone plans to initially focus the engine repair and overhaul companies’ efforts in two key areas: optimizing the GES cost base and renewing the focus on delivering an industry-leading customer experience. Johnstone expects the near-term completion and smooth transition of key engine programs into the company’s new state-of-the-art MRO and test facilities in Dallas, Texas to significantly improve the cost base, while serving as the catalyst for the company’s’ second area of emphasis, delivering an exceptional customer experience.

“Stepping into this role, I am truly humbled at the depth of experience, and technical expertise we hold, and also by the quality that our employees consistently deliver day after day,” Johnstone said. “There is an opportunity for us to further improve upon this core and really elevate our customers’ experience in short order.”

Johnstone explained the recent opening of the new MRO facility and test center will deliver both quicker and more consistent turn times, and that the companies are rolling out innovative pricing programs for key engine programs that will provide enhanced choice and price surety for customers, especially for aging aircraft platforms.

“We are laser focused on building a customer-driven, internal culture to ensure we deliver the best customer experience possible,” Johnstone continued. “We are now in a good position to address these areas quickly and further differentiate our services from the competition.”
