LAS VEGAS --
Dallas Airmotive, a BBA Aviation company, announced today that it completed and shipped two JT15D engine overhauls for Elliott Aviation in 35 days. The expedited overhauls were needed for Elliott Aviation’s new 400E aircraft on indoor static display during NBAA 2015.

Mark Stubbs, Dallas Airmotive’s Chief Commercial Officer, commented that the quick turn times for these engine overhauls were proof of the advancements that have been made to optimize the company’s facility and product lines. “Over the past year we have made upgrades to the flow of our product lines and the layout of our facility to become more efficient, deliver consistent turn times to the market, and still have the capability to flex and work with customers on extreme turn times like these for Elliott Aviation.”

“Dallas Airmotive has been a trusted partner of Elliott Aviation for many years,” said Mike Saathoff, Senior Director of Sales for Elliott Aviation. "Being able to bring our 400E program to NBAA required an incredibly fast turnaround on engine overhauls. Dallas Airmotive understood what we needed, took on the challenge and delivered in record time.”

Stubbs also noted that these accelerated turn times were the result of tremendous, cross functional coordination within the JT15D team. “One of our priorities, and the reason we strive to continually improve, is to deliver what the customer needs,” he said. “Normal turn time for a JT15D is 60 days. In this case, Elliott Aviation needed a quick turnaround in order to get their aircraft ready to showcase at NBAA. Our employees took great pride in working with Elliott Aviation and pulling together to find solutions to make this happen. It is a great example of where we are now and what we can accomplish.”

The engines are on the Elliott 400E that is on display and available for viewing at indoor static location IS_11 during the annual NBAA Business Aviation Convention & Exhibition November 17th-19th in Las Vegas, NV.
